My Life of Green Building

- I began my work more than 15 years ago when I got involved with a group of like-minded people who were sick of developers building homes that were about profit, not about people. I spent 5 years in the trenches learning everything I could about sustainable design. I researched materials, products and methods while working with notable architects to design was 'never' to be Florida's first sustainable community. It was never to be, but I learned enough for a masters degree. Florida wasn't ready for something new back then. Florida is more of another country than a state. Through all of the road blocks, short sighted, intrenched people I had to work super hard which made me stronger and more insightful. I consider myself one of the best educated sustainable design consultants in the region. After a period of mourning, I picked it up again in 2005 with LEED. A actual roadmap and guideline for sustainable design and construction. Here I am 5 years later as the LEED AP+ and Green Building Consultant on an array of notable projects.

Thank you for sharing the information. Leed certified professionals are now a days helping a lot in checking the sustainability of the building.
